Our method / active learning
Make it. Question it. Explain it.
Learning does not end with an explanation. Each explanation creates new questions, new experiments and another opportunity to improve.
Discover
Meet a new idea through curiosity, stories, demonstrations, games and exploration.
Experiment
Make a prediction. Try something. Notice what happens, nothing is magic in digital world.
Build
Turn understanding into something tangible through programming, robotics and creative technology.
Reflect
Ask what worked, what did not, and why. Mistakes become useful information.
Explain
Share your reasoning, choices and process. Explaining is not the finale; it is part of learning.
THE METHOD IN PRACTICE
One project. Five stages. New questions.
Children explore a question, test their ideas, build a solution, reflect on the results and explain what they have learned.
Building a robot that avoids obstacles
Children observe how the robot behaves and explore how sensors allow machines to perceive the world around them.
Children make predictions, test the electronic sensors and compare how the robot responds at different distances.
Children assemble the components and write instructions that make the robot react when it detects an obstacle.
Children examine the result, identify why the robot did not behave as expected and adjust their design or program.
Children present their project, explain how it works and describe what they changed, learned and would improve next.
AI LITERACY
Using AI is not
the same as
understanding AI.
Building with technology also means learning when to question it. AI can make mistakes, and a confident answer is not necessarily a correct one.
Children learn to question AI-generated content, verify important claims, compare evidence, recognise limitations and make their own decisions.
Technology should support thinking and not replace it.
WHAT CHILDREN DEVELOP
Technology skills. Human capabilities.
Across every project, technical practice develops capabilities children can use far beyond technology.
Question, verify and decide
Children learn to question AI-generated claims, check important information and make informed decisions.
Solve, experiment and improve
Children break problems into steps, test their ideas, identify what went wrong and try a better approach.
Imagine, persist and learn
Children transform ideas into real projects, work through setbacks and improve their solutions over time.
Collaborate, communicate and explain
Children listen to others, contribute to a team and develop confidence by explaining their choices.
