FOR PARENTS / GROWING UP IN THE AI ERA

Prepare your child for a future shaped by AI.

Not simply by teaching them to use AI, but by helping them understand, question and create with it.

Through hands-on projects in AI, programming and robotics, Kid Saclai develops technical understanding alongside creativity, critical thinking and collaboration.

Technology should support their thinking and not replace it.

WHAT YOUR CHILD DEVELOPS

They learn to understand, build, question and explain.

Every project combines technical learning with capabilities children can use at school and beyond.

Understand how technology works

Explore the chain from information to action: compare how humans and AI recognise patterns, create instructions with code, connect electronic components, and test how sensors and motors make a machine respond.

Build solutions to practical challenges

Start with a practical challenge, such as helping a robot avoid obstacles, then design, build, test and improve a working solution.

Think critically about information

Question AI-generated answers instead of accepting them automatically. Check important claims, compare sources and evidence, and decide what can be trusted.

Explain and collaborate

Build with others, listen to different ideas and clearly explain their process and choices.

Parent FAQ

What is Kid Saclai?

Kid Saclai is a progressive technology-learning programme created by Saclai and delivered in partnership with schools. Through hands-on projects in AI, programming, electronics and robotics, children learn how technology works, build practical solutions, think critically about information and explain their ideas.

Is Kid Saclai a coding school?

Not in the traditional sense. At Kid Saclai, coding is not the final objective but merely a tool children use to understand how technology works and bring their ideas to life. The programme combines AI, programming, electronics and robotics with creativity, critical thinking, collaboration and the ability to explain their choices.

What ages is the programme for?

Kid Saclai is designed for learners aged 6–18, across four broad pathways. Age is a guide, not the only factor: previous experience, confidence, readiness, maturity and learning needs matter too.

Does my child need previous experience?

No previous experience with AI, coding or technology is required. We adapt each session to the children’s age, confidence and starting level. They only need basic reading and writing skills, curiosity and a willingness to participate.

How much screen time is involved?

Screen use varies by age and activity, but it is always purposeful and balanced with hands-on learning. Children spend time thinking, discussing, building, testing, collaborating and explaining—not simply sitting in front of a screen. For younger children in particular, we prioritise physical, playful and interactive activities.

How does Kid Saclai teach AI responsibly?

Children are encouraged to question AI-generated information, check important information, compare evidence, recognise limitations and make their own decisions. AI can make mistakes.
