The programme / ages 6–18

A progression that meets learners where they are.

From first questions to independent creation, Kid Saclai helps children progressively develop technological understanding and transferable thinking skills. Age is a guide, not the only factor.

Four broad pathways

A map, not a mould.

Learners may move through these stages differently. Previous experience, confidence, technical readiness, maturity and learning needs all matter.

01 / age guide

6–8

Discover

Curiosity, exploration and confidence.

A first, friendly encounter with technology through playful, tangible and creative experiences.

Practises

CuriosityConfidenceObservation

In this level, children work with visual junior blocks: they give their first commands and watch their robot come alive, one instruction at a time.

02 / age guide

9–11

Experiment

Curiosity becomes experimentation.

Learners explore how systems work, test ideas, solve problems and make meaning from what they notice.

Practises

QuestioningTestingProblem-solving

Shifting from block coding to early text-based programming, children combine instructions into real programs: repeating steps, making decisions, and testing how their robot responds.

03 / age guide

12–14

Build

Ideas become projects.

Technical understanding, creativity and problem-solving come together as learners make and communicate their ideas.

Practises

MakingPersistenceCollaboration

Children start writing text-based code, understanding the differences between Python and C++ programming, working with more advanced algorithms, and exploring how machine learning works.

04 / age guide

15–18

Innovate

Technology becomes a tool for independent thinking.

Learners increasingly question, design, create, explain and evaluating what technology should be used for, not just what it can do.

Practises

JudgementCommunicationResponsibility

Questioning, designing and creating with greater independence, learners train their own AI models, build real-world applications as a team, and pitch what they have created.

A note for families and schools

Age is a guide, not the only factor.

Progression should also respond to previous experience, confidence, technical readiness, maturity and individual learning needs.
